ABOUT
Heather Fernon is an Australian artist, living between Sydney and the Central Coast in NSW. Heather attended B&W photography classes at the Australian Centre for Photography. She completed a BA(Photography/Film/Art History)1992 and MA(Digital Imaging)1996 at RMIT University Melbourne, Australia.
Heather's images continue to be inspired by a wide range of artists, from both contemporary and historical eras.
Her ongoing interest in the surrounding environment and technology, has often informed her inspiration to create work which addresses the innovation, preservation and decay of artefacts and nature through a historical lens.
Heather's work has been shown extensively in national museums and private galleries in Australia, United States and the United Kingdom.
